Fund for 23 Students
There are few tools more powerful in life than having a quality education. An education equips one with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in society and carries with it the promise of financial stability and a way out of poverty. While obtaining a quality education in the western world is seldom difficult due to the free public school system and prevalence of numerous academic resources, for many individuals in the Middle East living in poverty, this is a far cry from reality.
23 hopeful students in Upper Egypt are eager to continue their schooling in order to graduate with adequately paying jobs and provide for their families. Unfortunately, the costs associated with school attendance pose a large barrier. These students come from families who are struggling to support their education financially due to poverty. With rising inflation and worsening economic conditions in the country, these families’ budgets have never felt tighter.
Fortunately, Unheard Cries is collaborating with on-ground representatives in Egypt to help these 23 bright students continue their education. Each student needed funding for:
-Textbooks and notebooks
-Study expenses
-Transportation
-Monthly tutoring
The funds needed for each student are $300. As the semester begins, Unheard Cries is hoping to collect the money needed as quickly as possible in order to help these students start on the right track. By helping these young individuals with the money needed to further their schooling, we hope to empower them on their journey toward academic success and financial security.
