Kenya-Maseno Education

In the outskirts of Kenya lies a small rural community in the town of Maseno, located in the larger city of Kisumu. Most families in the community earn their living from farming and agriculture. They live a humble, simple life, but one that is rich with love and gratitude. Children in the community attend public schools that lack most of the resources taken for granted here by western education systems. Even so, these children hold lofty ambitions and career goals that they ardently long to fulfill.

In this humble rural community within Maseno, there are 20 precious high school-aged girls and boys who, despite coming from simple farming backgrounds, earnestly long towards attaining their dream careers. These are children like Angeline, who dreams of becoming a doctor. Shanel, who dreams of becoming a lawyer. Fauzia, who dreams of becoming a chef. Eunice, who dreams of becoming a journalist. Daniel, who dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer. Beryl, who dreams of becoming a teacher. And so many more.

The one thing standing in the way of these ambitious youth is the financial cost associated with the education necessary to land in their chosen fields. The costs of tuition are too steep for many, leaving them to face the possibility of not being able to achieve their dreams, simply due to the financial burden. Unheard Cries is working with on-ground representatives in Kenya in order to help cover the education costs of these 20 bright and hopeful students. Your donations will help give these students a fighting chance towards reaching the careers of their dreams.
