Sabha's Secret Santa
The holiday season is arguably the most joyous time of the year. With the promise of warm winter meals, an abundance of family gatherings, and the hope of the Christmas message, December is a favorite month for many. For some individuals, however, the holiday season is also a difficult time, especially for those who have no family, income, or support. Many of our elderly grandparents in the Middle East are especially facing this.
In Beit Jala, Palestine, an elderly woman by the name of Sabha lives on her own with no family around and limited social support. She is blind, which limits her ability to work, and therefore has no income. She relies on the collective kindness of others to meet her basic needs, including food, housing, and warm clothing. As a legally blind elderly woman living on her own during the ongoing political crisis in Palestine, life is often difficult for Sabha. She needs our support now more than ever. For this reason, Unheard Cries is collaborating with on-ground representatives to help facilitate providing Sabha the aid she needs this holiday season and beyond. Your generous donations, which have greatly helped Sabha in the past, will help continue to provide her the basic necessities she requires, including food, clothing, and housing. $150 a month is the amount that Sabha needs to cover her monthly living expenses. By becoming her monthly sponsor, you will give Sabha the priceless gift of security; of not having to worry about her basic needs being met.
